Tree Safety & Condition Surveys

Tree owner and those responsible for trees have a legal duty to uphold the safety of users of their property. These type of surveys will discharge the clients ‘duty of care’ towards the health & safety of the general public under the Occupiers Liability Act 1957 & 1984 and Health & Safety at Work Act (Section 3) 1974.
These surveys are for private tree owners wanting a safety inspection on a particular tree in their garden, to site asset managers requiring a safety assessment of their entire tree stock with prioritised works recommendations.

Safety

This type of survey assesses the hazards posed by your trees, and provides management recommendations to alleviate the risks associated with them. This survey will also assess your trees structural and physiological condition allowing longer term management recommendations based on the trees safe-useful life expectancy.

Management

Safety and condition surveys are carried out from ground level using the Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) method of analysis. If it is not possible to fully assess the condition of the tree from ground level, then I am fully qualified and experienced at carrying out climbing inspections and further decay investigations.

For larger sites, a prioritised treeworks schedule will be produced with accompanying tree location plan, enabling the client to schedule works and budget for longer term management.
