Planning Support & Local Authority Compliance
Ensure your project meets all tree-related planning conditions with our expert arboricultural documentation. We provide Tree Constraints Plans, Impact Assessments, Protection Plans and Method Statements in full accordance with BS5837:2012 helping you secure planning approval while protecting valuable trees.
Decay Investigations
Decay isn’t always visible on the surface. Our decay investigations help detect internal weaknesses caused by fungi, cavities, or structural defects that could lead to tree or branch failure.
We use Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) methodology, mallet soundings, metal probes and if needed, recommend further testing such as resistograph decay detection or climbing inspections to examine cavities or high-risk stems.
This service is vital for veteran trees, high-target locations (such as near roads or schools), and trees showing signs of decline or fungal growth.
TPO Advice
If your tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or sits within a Conservation Area, you’re legally required to obtain permission before carrying out works.
We help you understand what’s permitted, assess the tree’s condition, and produce professional reports to support your TPO applications or Conservation Area notifications.
Whether you’re planning light pruning or seeking approval for removal due to safety concerns, we ensure your application is justified, well-evidenced and council-ready.
Tree Bracing & Propping
Some trees develop weak branch junctions or structural splits that increase their risk of failure especially during storms. Our cable bracing and crown support systems offer a non-invasive solution to reduce the likelihood of limb failure while preserving valuable specimens.
We specify the installation of static or dynamic bracing systems and tree propping solutions, tailored to the species, crown structure and risk level. This service is often recommended following decay investigations or storm damage assessments.
Supporting Sustainable Tree Care
Our management services are often part of a broader tree strategy, working alongside our surveys and design services to deliver holistic solutions for your site.
We take pride in offering independent, practical advice that prioritises both people and trees. From decaying oaks to a protected Yew or neglected woodlands, we’ll help you make informed, defensible decisions.
